© Longdown House This May we have been greatly blessed to be invited to host in Cape Town, the six Monks from the remote Rizong Monastery in Ladakh.  The Monks are in South Africa by invitation of The Tibet Society of South Africa for their World Peace and Compassion Sand  Mandala Tour in honour of HH the Dalai Lama who turns 75 this year  and who untiringly works for peace and compassion. This is an opportunity to express your support  - not only to honour him - but most importantly, to  add your energy and intention to the achievement of a Compassionate and Peaceful World. Included in the group of Monks visiting us are 2  "Umze"  or "Chant Masters " The Chanting events will be especially powerful They will do 3 performances of Tibetan Chants for World Peace and Compassion Sunday 23 May 2010 at 15:00 at  the St George's Cathedral, Cape Town City Bowl  (by donation and no booking required) Monday 24 May 2010 at 19:00  Venue: Simon's Town Museum (Donation  R40.00.
